ACSA works with clients to schedule AB 430 training in consideration of local professional development practices and calendars. Training may be scheduled during the school year or during the summer and is available for all regions in California. The flexibility creates an emphasis on maximizing the opportunity for participants to process and apply research, information, skills, and strategies from the training to their school sites.
ACSA’s AB 430 training is scheduled for the equivalent of 3 seven-hour days for each of Modules 2 and 3. Examples of how training may be scheduled include:
- Full day sessions (in succession or weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.)
- Friday afternoon/all-day Saturday sessions
Sessions may also be scheduled such that:
- training for one module is completed before training for the other module begins, or
- training dates for both modules are intermingled in the schedule
ACSA welcomes the consideration and discussion of other training schedules that may be of interest and better service to individual clients.
