Funding

Incentive funding is provided for Administrator Training Program (ATP) training from the California Department of Education (CDE). School districts, not individuals, may apply for ATP funding through the Management System for Administrator Training (MSfAT). Funding is available at the rate of $3,000 per each eligible participant (school principals and vice/assistant principals). Information regarding the application period for funding appears on the MSfAT web site.

School districts may choose to fund non-school site administrators through other funding sources, but they may not use Administrator Training Program incentive funds. Individuals seeking ATP certification for whom ATP funding is not available may pay for ATP training costs with available school, district or personal funds.
