This intensive five-day academy is designed around the California Professional Standards for the Educational Leader. Its purpose is to assist leaders in facilitating an integrated approach to maximizing services to students through the use of categorical resources. The elements of the training include state programs, federal programs, needs assessment, program goals and objectives, resource allocation and budgeting.

The Academy held in Vacaville differs from the traditional format in that it is a week-long program providing 30 hours of instruction. This academy is held Monday-Friday, July 25-29, 2011 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m.  The Academy held in Ontario is held August 12-13; 2011; September 10; October 1 and October 29 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m.
