Aspiring California Educators (ACE)

One option for receiving a California Preliminary Administrative Credential is to pass the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA).  October 16, 2010 will be the final administration of the SLLA for California.  **NOTE** In order to take the SLLA, you must register with ETS via mail and your registration must be received by ETS no later than September 24, 2010.  To assist prospective administrators in preparing for the SLLA, ACSA is offering the Aspiring California Educators (ACE) test preparation program.

The Southern California Trainings will be held in three locations:  the James L. Brulte Center, Rancho Cucamonga (September 11 & September 25); ACSA's Ontario office (September 18 & October 2) and Placentia-Yorba Linda USD (September 25 & October 9).

The Northern California Trainings will be held in two locations - ACSA's Burlingame office (September 11 & September 25, 2010 and again on September 18 & October 2) and at ACSA's Sacramento office (September 18 & October 9).

The Central California Training will be held at Fresno USD's Center for Professional Development (September 11 & September 25 and again on October 2 & October 9).

Registration fee is $450 and includes 13 hours (2 Saturday sessions) of training and practice, two continental breakfasts, two lunches and a copy of the ETS School Leaders Licensure Assessment Practice and Review materials (a $55 value).  Please register early as seating is limited.

Attendees will:

• Become familiar with the standards used in designing the test

• Learn test-taking strategies for the California administrative licensure assessment

• Understand the types of test items and scoring

• Practice writing responses

• Receive feedback on practice

Please note:     ETS's website reflects that there was a revision to the SLLA effective September 2009.  This revision did not effect the SLLA for California.  ETS will hold its final administration of the SLLA for California on October 16,  2010.

Please contact the ACE Training Coordinator if you have any questions or concerns.  We thank you for giving us the privilege to serve you!
