Moving to the Common Core

This August the State Board of Education approved new English language arts and mathematics standards for our state. These new standards include all of the Common Core Standards plus about 15% more standards that the Standards Commission felt were missing from the Common Core.

In this webinar we will briefly share the history of the Common Core Standards movement, provide an overview of our new standards, compare and contrast them to the California Content Standards, and review the timeline for implementation.
