Promise Based Leadership

Promise-Based Leadership in Education comprises principles and practices that develop the capacity to build trust and to produce the kind of meaningful, effective action with others that yields extraordinary results and high satisfaction.

I. Introduction to Promise-Based Management for School Administrators,
a three-part fee-based webinar series to begin in April 2012.
Registration materials available here January 30.

II. Promise-Based Leadership in Education focuses on building new capacity
to lead education systems in which human beings thrive and produce extraordinary results. It comprises principles and practices to build and sustain trust and to produce the kind of meaningful, effective action with others that yields extraordinary results and high satisfaction.

The starting point is a unique one-day development workshop in which participants explore for themselves (individually and together) at least the following arenas: human care and commitment; leadership impact; interpretations and action; presence under pressure; leading and the unknown. Cognitive verbal and nonverbal partner and group exercises enable participants to “live” their learning and link the strands of the day into new awareness, energy, openings for action, relatedness and the capacity to make and fulfill on new levels of commitment.

The workshop brings together findings from neuroscience, quantum
physics, ontology, somatics and nonverbal communication, systems
and complexity thinking, and wisdom traditions from around the world,
combining them for an unusually rich and deep development experience
with staying power. Follow-up options are offered and recommended,
if possible, to further build individual or full team leadership.

Promise-Based Leadership can be scheduled as a district, school team
or countywide initiative; it can be customized to meet your specific
situation and current needs.
