Standard Finder™
ACSA's Standard Finder™ is the best resource for information about and access to California's 10,000+ Content Standards. The Standard Finder will soon be updated to also include the Common Core Standards, including a standard-by-standard cross-reference between the Common Core Standards and California's Content Standards.

PLEASE NOTE!! The new version of The Standard Finder™ 8.1 (which includes the final version of the Common Core Standards) is now available. The next version,  The Standard Finder™ 8.2 (which will include a standard-by-standard cross-reference between the Common Core Standards and California's Content Standards) will be available soon. If you would like the new version 8.1, you can order it here. If you would like the new version 8.2, please check back in 3-4 weeks. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Walk'bout™
ACSA's Walk'bout™, a tool for gathering data during short classroom visits, is now Web-based. Easily gather information about classroom activities on your Web-based smart phone and create reports instantly. Better yet, Walk'bout™ workshops are now delivered via an interactive webinar -- so you need not leave your office in order to become a skilled Walk'bout™ user. And, the new Walk'bout™ automatically suggests content standards to select from to match the lessons observed.

WalkIn™
Although still distributed in its original form, the WalkIn™, a tool for writing reports after a scheduled classroom observation, will soon be available as a Word document with hyperlinks allowing it to be quickly searched by standard and element. Additionally, the Word version of the WalkIn™ includes both the original and the newly revised California Standards for the Teaching Profession. The Word version allows easy pasting of selected materials into any observation report. The original version generates an observation report directly.

Next Steps: Turn Assessments Into Decisions™
Soon to be released, Next Steps: Turn Assessments into Decisions™, is a resource unlike any other. Next Steps™ turns the released test items from the California Standards Tests into one-question "checks of understanding" that a teacher would use during a lesson to decide what should be the next focus of instruction and for which group of students. Based on student response to a "check for understanding" item, Next Steps™ makes suggestions of what students must learn in order to have success with a content standard. Take the Next Steps™ to help your teachers view assessments as decisions to be made rather than as tests to be given.
