2. Organizational commitment of staff and API/AYP outcomes
3. Pre and post measures of team functioning and API/AYP outcomes

Goal congruence between leaders and subordinates is known to improve organizational effectiveness. What is not known is whether goal congruence between principals and their staff can have a relationship with school effectiveness as measured by API and AYP scores. This research would be appropriate for large school districts interested in delineating results within and between school sites and district departments. Similar research in the area of organizational commitment and team functioning are also areas of interest.
