This session addresses teacher leaders and entry-level administrators who may hold the potential to be site principals but may have reservations about making the commitment. This workshop presents a picture of what the 21st century principalship could be: an appealing, energetic, ethically driven, shared and collaborative leadership experience.
Desired Outcomes:
- Clarifying roles, responsibilities, and capacities of site leadership
- Examining six dimension of site leadership
- Exploring the evolution of site leadership toward a new collaborative/shared leadership model
- Examine research on the effective, impactful principal & how collaborative leadership contributes to sustained & continuous growth
This is a one-day, 6 hour (9:00-3:00), interactive workshop that is the first in the Call to Leadership series. It can also be offered independently.
