Finding One's Personal Leadership Style

This session addresses teacher leaders and entry-level administrators who may hold the potential to be sit principals and who are interested in developing collaborative leadership capacity in their current position.  We focus upon the work of Phil George, True North, and Daniel Goleman, Primal Leadership, in calling participants to know themselves, to lead with integrity, and to recognize and respect their own emotions and those of others.  This workshop is developed and presented by two National Distinguished Principals and a Marcus Foster Award winner, helps participants to find their own "leadership sweet spot".

Desired Outcomes:

  • Identify the attributes of "authentic leadership" and how to lead with integrity
  • Recognize their own leadership style and explore how to effectively work with others holding very different styles
  • Recognize the importance of "emotional leadership & management"
  • Explore realistic leadership dilemmas

This is a one-day, 6 hour (9:00-3:00), interactive workshop that is part of the Call to Leadership series.  It can also be offered independently.
